Surrender: Gupta Style

There are a couple of very different meanings in English to the word “Surrender”.

Giving in:
When fighting a battle or battling on against life’s events sometimes people surrender, wave the white flag and give in to the “enemy”.
Giving it up:
The other is when we let something go, we surrender it, we leave it behind us.
We don't give up, we give it up or we give it away.

Ashok’s Surrender meditation is all about letting go of thoughts/feelings etc which would keep us tense if we held on to them. We are not giving in to them, but we are giving up holding onto them, giving up worrying about things which have happened or may never happen.

The Gupta Program is about relaxing, letting go of the tensions, and stopping any negativity which is in our control. Calming our systems. Doing our best and leaving the rest.
I take “leaving the rest” to mean not worrying about the rest. We can be concerned about it but not worry, because worry doesn’t change anything. Concern may be able to initiate change if concerned action is possible.

This all stops the unnecessary flow of adrenaline and cortisol which have contributed to the amygdala loop conditions. In its turn, this gives our bodies the chance to do what they are good at, namely healing themselves. Sometimes without any extra help, sometimes alongside treatments prescribed by medical practitioners.
We can still allow our adrenaline to flow when there is the real need for it, not a falsely perceived need. Once the “emergency“ has passed the adrenaline-cortisol flow can then stop. We can avoid re-entering the amygdala loop.

So Surrender Gupta style and let it go.

Having been forced to stop working aged 53 due to CFS, I was later diagnosed with Fibromyalgia as well. (With the added challenges of hypersensitivity to chemicals, smells, various foodstuffs, bright light, noise, etc.)

10 years later I found the Gupta Program and started my recovery. Wanting to pay back some small part of what I owe the Gupta Program I later volunteered to be a moderator in the Facebook Gupta Forum.
